A Peek into National Nanny Training Day 2017: Around the Country

National Nanny Training Day 2017 took the country and world by storm on April 29, 2017. From Atlanta to California, and Boston to Switzerland, all told dozens of cities around the world hosted hundreds of nannies for a day of networking, education, inspiration, and raffle prizes.

Lindsey Faire hosted the Baltimore, Maryland event. "Baltimore's NNTD was a big hit! We sold out this year and everyone loved the various workshops," she said. Nanny Magazine's own Jill Ciganek had the opportunity to attend the Baltimore event this year, and had a great time learning and making new nanny friends.

Rebecca Pearcy organized the Austin, Texas event, and had this to say: "We had a great NNTD! We had set the cap at 30 nannies, then beat it, then set it to 40 and then we had one extra nanny plead to be allowed in and topped it off at 41 nannies."

Matthew Lister had a higher-than-expected turnout in New Orleans, Louisiana. "Our event was a huge success! Although only a few people actually showed up, it was twice as many people than we had last year, and we had excellent professional speakers and educators! So it was excellent!" New Orleans nannies, make sure you tell your friends about next year's event!

Crystal Crawford hosted the event in Atlanta, Georgia. "My favorite moment of INNTD Atlanta was when two of my favorite nannies from social media showed up to my event. It was great to finally meet them in person and I really appreciated them flying in to Atlanta to show their support. The nanny love is real!" she said.

The Denver, Colorado event had a huge turnout even on a snowy day! Can you believe it? Snow in April! "Denver had a wonderful turnout of 80 nannies that braved the snow, again, to attend NNTD. This was our first year offering two tracks to choose from and it was great to give the nannies an opportunity to choose the topic most interesting to them," said organizer Casey Marricle.

A 60-second introduction to Nanny Magazine was made available for NNTD17 attendees. You can watch it here!

2017 was also the just the second year that National Nanny Training Day went international, with events happening in Europe and Australia. Nannypalooza's owner Sue Downey, who together with Lora Brawley, is also the mastermind behind National Nanny Training Day, was tremendously pleased with this year's turnout. "It’s been so exciting to watch NNTD grow and expand. This year we added on events overseas and more events and more attendees across the country. More importantly, the workshops continue to provide inspiration and connections for nannies, which directly impacts their charges. And at the end of the day, the kids are what is most important," Downey said.

Prizes included free memberships, books, goodies, and swag. Nanny Magazine made sure to show up for the raffle portion of the events as well, raffling off one free digital subscription to the only publication just for nannies to one lucky person at each location.
